How It All Began

After finishing my internship at the Government Chemist and attachment at KALRO, I looked for job opportunities but opportunities were scarce. With bills to pay and no steady income, I decided to return to my village.

Still, my mind wasn’t at rest. One day, I started simple farming, growing kale and spinach—crops that mature quickly. But the results weren’t what I expected. Sitting down and reflecting, I remembered the proper farming methods I had learned, and I realized I needed to test the soil first.

I didn’t have enough money to buy chemical fertilizers, so I turned to what was around me: organic waste from homes and the community. I decomposed it into manure and used it on my crops. To my surprise, not only did I get the desired results, but the community also became cleaner.

Encouraged by this success, I took the soil to a lab for more complex analysis. The results were detailed and complex—so much that even I struggled to interpret them. That’s when I realized: if a trained chemist couldn’t easily understand what was happening on a small farm, how could an ordinary farmer?

From that moment, the idea of CleanFlow Expert was born—a package combining waste management, soil analysis, and organic manure solutions to help farmers, landowners, and anyone venturing into agribusiness.

Since then, this venture has grown, and I’ve been able to employ three youth from the community, turning a simple idea into real impact.
